The Lawton Family of Restaurants -- Cappy's Restaurant, Cappyccino’s, La Fonda on Main, Mama’s Café, and Jingu House -- is seeking a reliable full-time maintenance technician to join our team. We are a local, independent, family-owned business, and our full-service restaurants have been some of the most respected in San Antonio for 50 years. We have carefully developed a culture of kindness, teamwork, and professionalism, and are fiercely loyal to our team members, guests and community. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for upkeep and repairs of the property at our five restaurants.

WE REQUIRE:

  • Experience with restaurant maintenance

  • Basic knowledge in the repair and maintenance of air conditioning (cleaning filters and changing coils)

  • Basic knowledge in the repair and maintenance of plumbing and electrical

  • Experience with painting

  • Integrity and pride in workmanship

  • Mechanical aptitude, safety consciousness, good judgement

  • Proven reliability (references are required) and ability to be self-managing

  • Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic

  • Professionalism, maturity, intelligence, and kindness

  • Flexible and open work availability - including occasional nights and weekends in emergencies

  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
